Yin and Yang, two sides of a medal. The dark representing calm and a passive receiving, the bright representing sunshine and warmth, an active giving. The painting “Aube” reflects these two states of being, these two states of artistic acting. Creating art in silence – focusing onto the “Yin” – can be a first step towards a healing process. The way towards publicity – into the “Yang” – demonstrates the returning into the light, which is where the fruit of artistic creation can grow and develop. Teeth, mouths and hands symbolize the urge to say something, to have to finally be able to say something. To show one’s teeth and claws stands for the bravery to fight for something.
