The Epstein scandal affects us all – to a greater or lesser extent. For me, it has brought to the surface a deep-seated anger at people looking away, talking away and listening away.

I actually renounced anger a few years ago, but this is different. It is so deep and powerful that I can hardly describe it – as if it were thousands of years old and had been passed down through the generations.

I had to express it: the accumulated dirt from my studio had to be thrown onto the canvas, I raged in black. And beneath it lies something dormant...Every woman is allowed to bounce the ball against the screen. Please put the crumbs in the bowl afterwards.
