How much time do we give people to heal? Unanswered love is the biggest pain within love, not being able to accept love because the heart is hidden behind walls, a safety net, protect from further pain, but not allowing love either.

The cork oak functions as a symbol for the long healing process of internal wounds, as it is being harvested only every nine years. This way the rind can recover, regrow and “heal”. The wounds of the soul heal slowly, too, which is why we have to give them even more time, patience and love.
